比 (bǐ): comparisons
A 比 B + adjective means "A is more ... than B": 他比我高 "he is taller than me". Never add 很.
The adjective stays plain. 他比我很高 is a classic mistake.
To say "a lot more", add 多了 or 得多 after the adjective: 今天比昨天冷多了.
For "not as ... as", use 没有: 我没有他高.
Pattern: A + 比 + B + adjective
